First at Lefke Gazi High School, then at the European University of Lefke and finally at the Lefke AKM hall, guests Anti Karra, Metin Cengiz, Christos Hadjipapas, Neşe Yaşın and Vasilika Hadjipapas spoke about Fikret Demirağ's Cypriot identity and his attachment to the land of his birth, his poems and their universality, and his world view. Passages from his poems were read and their deeper meanings interpreted. It was summed up as the bond between root and soil being a sacred, inseparable and inexhaustible love, like that between mother and son.
